• Each piece is made from natural stone. Color variations can range from cream to pink to gold to gray in any single piece.
• Each piece has gone through multiple stages of sanding and waxing, giving the soapstone a satiny finish. Holds small votive or beautiful on its own.
• Soapstone is a soft natural mineral from the earth, making it easy to carve into many forms. Handle with care to avoid breakage.
• Each sculpture is artfully hand-carved from a single piece of Kisii soapstone, found only in the hills of southwestern Kenya. Mining the soapstone from surface hills is a labor-intensive process, using little to no machinery. Laborers works with shovels, picks, axes and machetes to carve out large soapstone chucks, which are then carved into beautiful art.

Mined by hand from surface mines large stones are pulled by a team of workers, cleaved into smaller pieces and worked into stunning art and functional objects. This sculpture depicts a stylized circle of friends. The soapstone is natural. Please allow for color variation from white to cream to pink to gray in any single piece.
