The Quattro Stagioni Lids makes food preservation easy because the one-piece design is a vacuum sealing system that can be seen and heard. Once the preservation process has been completed correctly, the flexible part of the lid will have been visibly sucked down. In addition, the characteristic "pop" you hear when the jar is opened tells you the process has succeeded. Thanks to the sealing material, which is softer, fuller, and more elastic than the kind used in the lids of industrial jars. This unique consistency allows the gasket to adhere perfectly to the glass jar (and compensate for imperfect tensile forces); at the same time, the air is quickly expelled during the canning or vacuum sealing process.
The leak-proof caps have an airtight seal, perfect for water-bath canning, pressure canning, and vacuum-sealing food preservation methods. Use the regular mouth lids with the Quattro Stagioni or mason jars to store or gift homemade jams, jellies, sauces, oils, or pickled vegetables.
